Church boat trip to the rock paintings of Lake Pitkäjärvi (spring/ summer/ autumn) 
Row a 14 seat church boat to see the ancient stone-age rock paintings by Lake Pitkäjärvi. You will also learn about the nature and animals of Nuuksio National Park.
Duration: 2.5 hours 
Min-max: 10-14 rowers / one church boat 
Max: 28 rowers / two church boats 

In the footsteps of the traditional healer
The forests of Finland are plentiful with healthy and healing plants, berries, mushrooms and wild herbs. The pure nature and long days of summer give these plants their strength. Listen to stories about the healing powers of nature, taste the plants of the forest and learn traditional Finnish healing spells. 
Duration: 1.5 hours, 2 hours if you would like to include a break at the campfire.

The Magic of the Bear
Experience the Finnish wilderness and northern mythology during a trip into the woods of Nuuksio National Park. You will be told stories of the king of the forest and the Finnish national animal, the bear.
Duration: 1.5 hours, 2 hours if you would like to include a break at the campfire.

In the Land of Kalevala, the Finnish National Epic
Get to know the national epic Kalevala and seek for the mysterious Sampo that is told to produce fortunes to its owner. You will hear how the world was created, about the men and women of Kalevala and their destinies.
Duration: 1.5 hours, 2 hours if you would like to include a break at the campfire.

Sauna (all year round) 
Learn about the Finnish Sauna culture and experience an idyllic and authentic lake side sauna.
Duration: 2.5 hours 
Min-max: 1-20 persons

Kicksled safari and ice fishing (winter)
The fish in the lakes of Nuuksio don’t hibernate over winter and it is possible to catch them. On this safari you will move across the ice covered lake on a kicksled and try some fishing through a hole made on the ice cover.
Duration: 2 hours
Min-max: 12-20 persons
Winter fishing, ice fishing (winter)
Ice fishing on the frozen lake through a hole made on the ice cover. For an extra price you can also try how to use fishnets in winter time.
Duration: 1-3 hours
Min-max: 2-100 persons
Gear: For an extra fee we provide warm clothing and shoes.

Canoeing and fishing trip with cooking by the campfire (summer/ autumn)
You will experience the lake landscape on a canoe and catch your own fish. The fish will then be cooked at the campfire. The price includes campfire coffee.
Duration: 2-4 hours, or on request

Reindeer program (winter)
You will get to know the reindeer living at about 1 km distance from the Nature Centre Haltia. It’s also possible to try reindeer riding. There are different kinds of programs to choose from.
